Environmental stress is mostly exhibited by leaf curling or browning of calathias. A typical cause is low humidity, which these plants are adapted to live in moist air. Brown edges may also be caused by hard tap water or irregular watering. The problem can be aggravated by the fact that the person is exposed to direct sunlight or drafts. To correct this, add humidity using a humidifier, use filtered water, and maintain a stable environment with indirect light which will have a healthier foliage.
